I had my first craft show yesterday at the elementary school I went to as a child. My mom had a booth there last year selling webkinz accessories. We went ahead and put the left overs out for sale next to my buttons. Last year, my mom felt it had been a marginal success because she managed to make $100 which covered cost of supplies, as well as the cost of the booth plus a little extra. This year we almost broke $200! My mom made $90 on her webkinz things, which was great because it went to covering cost of labor and the rest was just profit! For myself I made about $100 from my buttons and mirrors, though I didn't sell any magnets. I think that may have been due to the fact that the magnets were set on the wall behind me rather than on the table. The booth cost $35 (which my mom covered 1/2) and the supplies of the buttons I sold was about $20. $15 went to my little brother for helping out :) He was great, even better than I was at convincing people to "make your own button." I had a few people interested in having me come out to do parties, and a few interested in custom orders. Very glad I had business cards, even if they are cheepo Vista-print and don't have my logo (lol). I don't think I'll do the "make your own" again. It was a lot more work to bring along the supplies, and not too many people were interested.
By the way, Jonas Brother's pins were by far the most popular.
